Counselling offers a place to be heard and understood, without feeling judged or criticized, it can be the first step towards change and a more positive future.
People may come to counselling because they feel stuck and cannot move forward. One of the aims of counselling is to explore aspects of ourselves that promote healing and recovery. I can work with you to enable you to have a better understanding of yourself and your relationships.
We all need help in in certain times of our lives. I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. My approach is supportive and offers the tools to equip you towards a resolution and peace of mind.
Through therapy, we may explore past experiences or if required, we may work on a specific issue or problem. I can offer long term therapy to get to the heart of the issue. Also, I can offer short term Solution Focused therapy.
If we decide that therapy would be useful for you the sessions will be weekly and are generally at the same time each week and last 50 minutes.
New clients receive an initial assessment before proceeding. This appointment is for around 60 minutes to allow you to talk about what brings you to counselling. It is an opportunity to think about your difficulties and consider what support will be most helpful for you.
This is an opportunity to ask questions and exchange information. The consultation works as an assessment to decide which intervention would be suitable for you and what you wish to focus on.
